About
A Mitsubishi Corporation company
MC Digital Infrastructure is the United States data center investment platform of Mitsubishi Corporation, investing in digital infrastructure opportunities and related digital infrastructure opportunities across major U.S. markets.
Who we are
Backed by Mitsubishi Corporation’s broad capabilities across power, energy, and real asset investing, we partner with developers to transform sites, power infrastructure, and capital into scalable, financeable digital infrastructure projects.
Our investment approach is differentiated by permanent capital and a long-term ownership mindset. The same team that evaluates an opportunity remains engaged throughout the investment cycle, giving sponsors a clear answer early in the process.
We pursue a development-and-hold strategy, generally holding investments through stabilization and beyond while maintaining a dynamic approach to portfolio management that adapts to shifting market opportunities. This perspective is informed by Mitsubishi Corporation’s extensive experience investing in and operating critical infrastructure globally, including data centers through MC Digital Realty, one of the leading data center platforms in Japan.
Our history
Nine years from a joint venture in Tokyo to a dedicated investment platform in the United States.
2017
MC Digital Realty · Japan
Mitsubishi Corporation entered the data center business through MC Digital Realty, a 50/50 joint venture with Digital Realty serving customers across Tokyo and Osaka.
2024
First U.S. investment · Dallas
A majority equity interest in two fully leased data center developments in the Dallas metro, representing approximately $800 million in combined project cost on completion — the company's first data center venture outside Japan.
Today
MC Digital Infrastructure U.S.
The United States platform was established to invest directly alongside American developers, underwriting joint venture equity in major data center markets.
Our Relationship
Mitsubishi Corporation operates across power, energy, and real asset investment. For a development partner, that group capability is reachable through a single investor rather than assembled from several.
Power solutions
The group invests in and operates generation across thermal, renewable, and distributed assets. For a project, that shows up as onsite and behind-the-meter options — increasingly the constraint that decides whether it gets built.
Natural gas
Interests across LNG and natural gas from upstream through supply. Where a schedule depends on gas, it is a relationship the group already holds.
Real asset investment
Decades of industrial and real asset ownership held long term. It is where our underwriting discipline comes from, and why our hold period is not a fund's.
